I simply can't refrain myself from stopping it every five minutes or so and thinking how completely shit it is. It is just so surreal and bad, Malkovich... what the fuck is going on there? Michael Bay's genius is that he makes the greatest comedies without trying to, I know he thinks he's funny but he's so far out of tune with what the audience genuinely finds amusing and what he does it's unbelievable.

I have a friend who took his wife to see this film who is into Shakespeare and insists on going to the Globe theatre and The Old Vic occasionally (she's is a Cambridge lit snob but she's funny too and gets away with it) and she didn't speak to him for the next day or two.

You can tell the cast are having a laugh while making it at least. John Turturro must have roped in his pal Frances McDormand saying "Go on, it'll be funny!"

Yet this is one of the highest grossing films of all time according to what I'm reading.
The movie is the perfect example. Not only from its classical prometheus-light bearer- theme but with Gigers visions. Scott delivers much, though the movie has practical flaws, it is a nice demonstration or better illustration for the theme in our time. Technically perfect designed it delivers the occult key question: are we the gods now. Actually meaning god ( as christian believe is basically mono-theistic). Also meaning replacing Christ with alien believe.
Delivered through the faulty ancient astronaut ´theory´ whose mostly known writers had fraudulent motives ( von Däniken, Sitchin). Whatever, these ´theories´ are used as basic plot base because they fit for Hollywood reasons.
Giger´s Necronomicon and sexual visions are heavy stuff also, though I know he personally is more experienced with the occult. It´s a phenomenon that this gets mainstream now.

What interests me is, how many kids, stuffed with daily vampire/werewolf/CSI/ ancient alien BS, partly educated, actually are directly influenced in their critical thinking? Meaning they take this for real, posting on ATS or else, fascinated by UFO or Alien stories.

Not knowing this is no playground because this stuff happens and is dangerous ( abduction, implants, mind reading, going-through-walls, de/materialize, abuse etc etc ) This stuff has clear features of demonism as researched in phenomenology.

found this..interesting.

whaddajathink..
cheers

They look so similar and I think maybe there's an untold story about them, which means aliens is not the only species what's in contact with the Engineers. I guess it would be interesting enough to see the movie where Engineers and Predators are also and see the story what lies behind of them - who's the creator of Predators and what's their purpose in the world of Engineers or there is another species what we still don't know but which are involved in this war in between Predators and Aliens and maybe even with Engineers by themselves. I readed some comments about it and it's no doubt that people want more of this stuff and I'am one of them for sure. Because I think movies about comics like superman and batman or about even Wolverine or Hulk is quite done their role on the world of movies but Aliens, Predators and Engineers is enough fresh thing so I quess there's alot what creators of them can make as suprise for those who are fans for Aliens and Predators.
